Summer Schedule:
Classes begin June 10th and end August 23rd.

No classes July 1st-5th; July 29th-August 2nd;  August 26th-30th

***If a workshop or class fills up, a waitlist will be started. If the waitlist fills, then I will open a second workshop and/or class.***

Weekly Classes (1x/week for 9 weeks - 3 classes/month - invoiced monthly):
MONDAYS:
9:30 am - Fun with Art (3rd-6th grade) - 1 hr/$20 - FULL (waitlist started)
1:30 pm - Open Studio (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/$30 - 2 openings

TUESDAYS:
9:30 am - Fun with Art (K-2nd grade) - 1 hr/$20 - 2 openings
1:30 pm - Open Studio (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/$30 - 1 opening

WEDNESDAYS:
9:30 am - Intro to Art (7th-12th grade) - 1 hr/$20 - 3 openings
1:30 pm - Open Studio (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/$30 - 4 openings

THURSDAYS:
9:30 am - Fun with Art (K-2nd grade) - 1 hr/$20 - 3 openings

Summer Workshops (5 consecutive days - invoiced weekly):
June 10-14, 11:00 am - Art in Nature (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days: $125 - 3 openings
June 17-21, 11:00 am - Animal Art (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days; $125 - FULL (waitlist started)
June 24-28, 11:00 am - Scenic Painting for Theater (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/day for 5 days; $200 - 4 openings

July 8-12, 11:00 am - Messy Art (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days: $125 - 2 openings
July 15-19, 11:00 am - 3D Art (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days; $125 - 3 openings
July 22-26, 11:00 am - Sculpture/Resin (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/day for 5 days; $150 - 4 openings

August 5-9, 11:00 am - Under the Sea (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days: $125 - 2 openings
August 12-16, 11:00 am - Famous Artists (3rd-6th grade) - 1.5 hrs/day for 5 days; $125 - 4 openings
August 19-23, 11:00 am - Drawing & Painting (7th-12th grade) - 2 hrs/day for 5 days; $150 - 3 openings


Summer Class and Workshop Descriptions:
 

K-2nd Grade Weekly Class:
Fun with Art - Students will have fun exploring different textures and mediums; making some messy art; and learning a bit about famous artists. 

3rd-6th Grade Weekly Class:
Fun with Art - Students will have fun exploring different textures and mediums; making some messy art; and learning a bit about famous artists.

7th-12th Grade Weekly Classes:
Intro to Art - Students will be introduced to a variety of different art mediums and styles while learning foundation elements of art and principles of design.

Open Studio - Students will have the opportunity to choose the projects they would like to work on within my knowledge base (and space), and I am available to guide and teach as needed. This is a great class for independent working students who enjoy being creative. This class will be offered Monday - Friday from 1:30-3:30pm for the summer. You can choose as few or as many Open Studio classes as you like. Great for older students who have some art experience!

3rd - 6th Grade Workshops (please contact me at amy@rlb.org if you have an advanced 2nd grader):
Art in Nature - Students will experience different textures found in nature, and create some interesting pieces of art. Students will also learn how to add texture to art through different art mediums. 

Animal Art - Students will learn about different animals as they create some fun animal-themed art in a variety of styles and mediums. We will even learn a bit about famous artists who had animals as subjects in their art. 

Messy Art - Students will experience hands-on art as we paint like a famous artist; make our own paint; explore different textures; spin painting; and just have some great messy fun! 

3D Art (Sculpture) - Students will explore different sculpting mediums including different types of clay; plaster and simple resin.

Under the Sea - Students will learn about different “under the sea” animals and fish and then turn them into some fun art. Students will experience different art techniques and mediums. 

Famous Artists - Students will learn about five different famous artists, and then have the opportunity to create art in the same style/technique as the famous artist.

7th-12th Grade Workshops (please contact me at amy@rlb.org if you have an advanced 6th grader):
Scenic Painting for Theater - Students will learn about different types of paint and tools used to create interesting and realistic scenes for theater. They will have hands-on experience as they learn about color theory and practice painting techniques. Great for students with some art experience!

Sculpture/Resin - Students will have hands-on experience in working with air dry clay; epoxy clay; plaster and resin. They will have the opportunity to create some fun and interesting sculptures. Great for students with some art experience!

Drawing/Painting- Students will work on drawing skills with a variety of drawing mediums. Then they will spend some time working on watercolor and acrylic painting skills.

In-Person Small Art Classes:

Miss Amy offers small art classes in her home studio located in Richland, WA. Classes are available year round with a summer session (June - August); a fall session (September - December); and a winter/spring session (January - May). Each class is limited to four students which allows students to work at their own pace, and receive additional one-on-one as needed. Miss Amy values each student, and provides a safe environment where a student can confidently grow in his/her art skills.

About the Instructor:

 Art Instructor Amy PirozokAs an accomplished artist and experienced youth art instructor, Amy Pirozok (Miss Amy) has a passion for teaching a variety of art skills to youth, encouraging them to discover their own ability to create as well as grow in confidence in their individual skills. Amy teaches both online Zoom and in-person art lessons and classes. On occasion, she will paint a commissioned pet portrait and/or mural. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her German Shepherd.

 

Amy’s passion for teaching art comes from the calling God has put on her life. She believes God has called her to raise up child artists to show God’s glory to the world. Only when you are doing what God has designed you to do, will you experience joy and peace.
